I love the way children bring their experiences from home to our nursery. One of the children in our pre-school room went to see a under water park during the school holidays and initiated a wonderful “swimming under the water with sharks” game yesterday.
Karen extended their game further on the day and showed the children our “under the water sea creatures” book and read the kids a story. Children loved the idea and they were all talking about it so we decided to extend the game and we created our own under the see world with a water tray, pebbles and see creatures swimming in the water. Well, some children took the swimming a bit too literally I see. 🙂
